We are no longer the proudest nation on the planet. We are the most apologizing country on the planet. Our new president has no backbone. The rest of the world will realize soon that they can run all over him and he will just say we are sorry.

You know, I've given this fucker a chance. I've waited and waited for the "change" he was supposed to bring to this country. Oh he brought it alright! Now OUR president, the leader of the world's superpower is bowing to kings and telling them that the US is no longer a Christian nation. Ok. Who the hell does this jerk-off think he is to be speaking for EVERYONE in America? Um hello?!?! You are Muslim, Black, and Caucasian. I hardly thinks that makes you qualified to speak on the behalf of all of the people in this melting pot of a so-called country. In fact, that makes you less qualified, if you ask me, because no one really gives a flying fuck what you think anyway. Obama, you are a joke, sir. And frankly, I'm shocked that someone has not killed you yet. A day will come when the people finally wake up and realize what you are doing to them and this country. That will be the day that the people take this country back once and for all and you, my friend, will be in the unemployment line like the rest of the 12.5 million Americans. And seeing as how you're the one partly responsible for some of those folks being there, I shouldn't imagine you would make it out of line alive or even fully membered. Obama's a fucking joke. I can't wait till he's out of office-one way or the other.

I own my own small business, I can't afford any health insurance, I am my only employee, I work 100 hours a week and am not making squat. I'm in trucking (I find customers who need freight moved and then get a trucker to haul it) and during this economic depression many of the customers I had such as Smurfit Stone and several other companies have cut back or closed. Obama said it would get better....WTF like when? I saw somewhere where it said it'll be 2 years. WELL that's too damn far away, we need CHANGE NOW!!!!!
My ass didn't vote for him but my OVER INFLATED taxes help pay his salary and I DEMAND (like it matters LOL) change NOW.
I actually was making a killing last year and as a single mom I've had to but my ass all my life to make a decent living for my family. It's been 20 years since I had to skip meals to make sure there was enough for the kids but how it's all come back but this time it's worse.
I love what I do and if it wasn't my own business I just might give up. Consumer goods need to move so trucking is always going to be here. Hopefully it'll get better but I hope it's before the next election LOL

Wasn't Bush still behind the wheel when the first (banks I believe) bailouts took place? That started the ball rolling and everyone had a hand out after that. I would love to have gotten the money instead but I can't see any crooked politician making that happen.

The original idea might have worked. It was to buy the riskiest loans. That would put everyone on solid ground. Then after the money was approved it was just handed over in huge chunks with no rules as to what they could use it for.
